November Meeting  Wednesday, November 6th, 2019, 7:00 PM

Program  Neil Jaehnert – Creating Videos:  Neil ran his own company, Midland Video Productions for over 30 years before retiring in 2014.  He created corporate videos for marketing, training, commercials and documentaries.  He has also traveled extensively and has created videos to showcase some of his travel. Neil will discuss techniques for shooting videos and editing to create quality videos.

Member Image Sharing:

Members are encouraged to submit several (up to five) images to share with the club for gentle critique.  This is a great way to get suggestions for improving your images and developing your photographic skills. In order to give everyone a chance to share their images during the year, we will select several individuals who will be featured at each meeting.  Other individuals may also provide images which will be shared as time permits.

The following members will be featured this month: Kevin Thomas, Pat Toicen-Dycee, Paul Underwood, Mary Margaret Wacker.

Please email your images to Tom Wright ( TomWrightwi@gmail.com ) by Tuesday, November 5thWhen submitting your images, please change the file name to include your name as the first information in the file name. This will help to streamline the process of viewing member images. We look forward to seeing your images.

December Meeting Information:  Our December meeting will be our annual Holiday Party.  Spouses and guests are invited to join in this opportunity, so make sure you invite them and have them get the date marked on their calendars!  This will be a good opportunity for them to meet your fellow club members and see some of the wonderful images our club members create.

As in the past, we will give members a chance to show off some of their best images from the year. This year each member may submit up to ten of their favorite images from 2019.  Please include only images taken in 2019!  We will put your images into a program for the evening.  You may begin sending your images at any time – the sooner the better to give us time to get the program created.  Images should be sent to Rick Vollbrecht (Rvollb@wi.rr.com). Please rename your images to include your name or initials at the beginning of the image name to make individual images easier to identify.

We will also be asking members to bring some light refreshments – cookies / bars, chips & dip, cheese & crackers, soft drinks, etc.  Please send an email to Rick Vollbrecht ( Rvollb@wi.rr.com ) to let us know what you will bring.

Club Officers:

Our club meetings and activities are planned and managed by a group of officers who make up our Board of Directors.  The officer positions are President, Vice President, Treasurer, Program Chair and Outings Chair.  The officers serve a two-year term.  All officer terms will be expiring at the end of this year.  This is your opportunity to take a direct role in helping the club plan its future activities.  If you would like to be considered for an officer position or would like additional information about the officer duties, please contact our President Tom Wright (TomWrightwi@gmail.com)

Membership Dues:  Membership dues for 2020 may be paid to our Treasurer, Jim Edlhuber, at the meeting.  Annual dues are $15.00/member or $25.00/couple.   Our dues help to provide an honorarium to outside speakers and pay minor club expenses.

Field Trips

Photo field trips are a great way for us to share our common enjoyment of photography, learn some new techniques and share in camaraderie while getting to know our fellow club members.  Our Outings Co-chairs, Elizabeth Whitcomb and Caryl Sedushak, are working on a schedule that will include some of our traditional outings plus a few new ones. They are always looking for your ideas of some places you would find interesting for a club outing.  If you have any ideas of places you would like to have us shoot, please send your ideas to our Outings Chairperson, Elizabeth Whitcomb (lizannwhit@gmail.com)  Better yet, why not offer to coordinate a field trip.  It's not hard - find a place you would like to go, pick a date and we can announce it to the club.  Perhaps you have a favorite place for fall colors or winter scenery.

2020 Field Trips:  None are scheduled at this time.
