February
Meeting – Wednesday, February 4, 2015, 7:00 PM
Our January meeting was cancelled due to bad weather. As a result, we will have the program
originally scheduled for January.
Program:
PSA Wisconsin Showcase Judging – This month we will be
judging the images submitted for the PSA Wisconsin Showcase. We will have images from about thirteen clubs
from Wisconsin to judge. All clubs are
in the process of judging these images and the results will be available in Spring. Our club has done well in this competition
over the years, finishing 2nd last year. As usual, we will see some great images from
some fine Wisconsin photographer. Please bring along a pen or pencil and a
small flashlight to help you to see the scoring sheets.
In addition, we will judge prints from the Wisconsin Print
Circuit. This is the first year that our
club is participating in this event.
Following the judging, we will use some of the competition images
to start a discussion on what makes a good images. We will also provide critiques for member
images (see below).
Member
Image Sharing:
Members are encouraged to submit several (up to five) images to
share with the club for gentle critique.
This is a great way to get suggestions for improving your images and
developing your photographic skills. In order to give everyone a chance to
share their images during the year, we will select several individuals who will
be featured at each meeting. Other
individuals may also provide images which will be shared as time permits
The
following members will be featured this month: Roy Schneider, John Seals, Caryl
Sedushak, Judy Stowell
Please email your images to Rick Vollbrecht (Rvollb@wi.rr.com ) by next
Tuesday. This will help to streamline the process of viewing member images. We
look forward to seeing your images

Frank Remfrey has agreed to coordinate field trips for the club. If you have some ideas of where you would
like to see us go, please let Frank know (FRemfrey@wi.rr.com). Better yet, why not offer to coordinate a
